HOW JET MUD MIXER WORKS
The JET MUD MIXER is used to make up drilling fluid or increase total amount of the drilling fluid, change the fluid density, viscosity, and dehydration. When making up again, put the materials of drilling fluid (such as betonies and barite powder) and corresponding chemical additives (such as polymer) into the recycle tank through the jet unit. If put them directly, the materials of drilling fluid and chemical additives will be deposited largely or dump together and we can’t obtain diffused and well-proportioned drilling fluid.

Installation and Application
1. Installation
(1) According to the on-site situation, the tank should be at the same level as the slurry tank.
(2) Connect the suction inlet of the pump to the tank body with hoses.
(3) At the outlet, connect the jet mixing to the inlet of the tank with creeping pipe.
(4) Switch on the power, and see if the rotation direction of the sand pump is right.
2. Application
(1) For operation and maintenance of the sand pump, see its operation and maintenance instructions.
(2) BWSLH jet mixing device is shown as the figure.
(3) Before use, open the inlet butterfly valve of the sand pump. Then start the sand pump. When the sand pump runs normally, open the inlet butterfly valve of the funnel, then add the materials of drilling fluid (such as betonies and barite powder) and corresponding chemical additives (such as polymer) from the funnel to strengthen and make up the slurry.
(4) Before stop the pump, close the inlet butterfly valve of the funnel to prevent the instant pressure decrease, which resulting in overflowing of slurry from the surface of the funnel.
(5) In winter, when BWSLH jet mixing device stops working for a long time, close the suction inlet butterfly valve 1, then loosen the pipe plugs under the casing of the sand pump and ones under the inlet pipe of the funnel to drain the slurry to prevent the pump body and pipeline from being blocked and frost cracked.

HOW MUD CLEANER WORKS?
Desanders are used to separate sand which is mixed with drilling muds. During drilling process mud is being poured as excavation is getting deeper, this mud also mixes with soil, thus being contaminated with sand and silt, in such a way, that when excavation is finished, it is necessary to recycle mud in order to separate sand from mud and get a clean mud that will be used in next excavations. Each country establishes its own regulations on maximum allowed sand content in drilling mud before concreting operation is carried out, in order to prevent concrete contamination with sand and soil, and Desanders are used for this purpose.
A desilter is used to separate silts from drilling muds. The cut point can be as low as 7-10 μm. As muds are being used in drilling operations, they are contaminated with silts. In order to use again these muds, it is necessary to separate silts and also to recycle muds to dispose them at the end of work duty.
Mud cleaner is the combination of desander and desilter.
Brightway offers a line of mud cleaners that employs a two-stage separation process for the ultimate in drilling fluid recovery. Our mud cleaners use a combination of hydrocyclones mounted over a shale shaker to operate as a single unit.

MUD GAS SEPARATOR
Mud Gas Separator is commonly called a gas-buster or poor boy degasser. It captures and separates large volume of free gas within the drilling fluid. If there is a "KICK" situation, this vessel separates the mud and the gas by allowing it to flow over baffle plates. The gas then is forced to flow through a line and vent it to a flare. A "KICK" situation happens when the annular hydrostatic pressure in a drilling well temporarily (and usually relatively suddenly) falls below that of the formation, or pore, pressure in a permeable section downhole, and before control of the situation is lost.
It is always safe to design the mud/gas separator that will handle the maximum possible gas flow that can occur.
The principle of mud/gas separation for different types of vessels is the same.

What is Solids Control System?
Solids control is a technique used in drilling rig to separate the solids in the drilling fluids that are crushed by the drill bits and carried out of the well surface. Normally solid control system is consist of five stages, including mud tank, shale shaker, vacuum degasser, desander, desilter, centrifuge. Shale shaker is used to separate the big solids with diameter above 75μm, and 45~74μm for desander, and 15~44μm for desilter. Sometimes desander & desilter are combined as high efficient mud cleaner. When air enters into the drilling fluids, vacuum degasser is used to separate the air. If no air in the mud, the degasser would work as a big agitator. All these equipments are mounted on the top of the mud tank. After separating the solids, the clean mud would be pumped into the borehole again.
Drilling fluid maintenance cost, clean up, and disposal cost as well as the overall cost of boring can be reduced dramatically when proper solids control techniques are utilized. These facts were recognized in the oil industry in the late 19th century when open earthen pits were used to separate the cuttings from the borehole. This was accomplished by a series of weirs and settling pits that allowed the solids to naturally settle out by using gravity. The clean mud then flowed into a suction pit to be re-pumped down the hole. This was the first solids control technique ever used.
The next innovation in solids control came when the shale shaker was introduced in the early 1930s for the oil industry. The shale shakers were derived from technology used in the mining industry. The shale shaker remains today the primary piece of solids control equipment utilized in the industry.
Another machine borrowed from the mining industry in the 1930s was the cone classifier or hydrocyclone. The basic principle of this device involves the centripetal forces brought about by the high velocity of the drilling fluid spinning in the cone, forcing the larger and heavier solids to settle outward toward the cyclone wall and downward toward the underflow solids discharge. Together with the shale shaker, hydrocyclones have become an integral part of today’s solid control system. In an addition to shakers and hydrocyclones, the use of a high-speed centrifuge has significantly contributed to the ability of a drilling operation to reduce the amount of mud to be built and diesel/barite additions to maintain optimum low and high gravity solids proportions.
Recent advances in solids control include the creation of a closed loop system which allows for increased environmental control and reduction in the potential for spills of drilling fluids. Several US states have either passed or are considering the implementation of closed loop systems, particularly for hydro-fracturing operations.
The most famous solids control system manufactuer are almost from US, the top 3 are: Derrick Equipment Company, MI Swaco Solids Control Company and NOV Brandt Solids Control Company.

Oilfield Decanter Centrifuge For drilling fluids Decanter centrifuge are used to process unweighted and weighted, water-based and oil-based drilling fluids (muds). Mechanical energy is utilized to increase the gravitational force exerted on solids that are present in the mud system.oilfield Decanting Centrifuge are able to apply over 3,000 G-forces on the liquid/solids mixture, which separates the heavier solids from the lighter solids. Additionally, high G-forces separate fine solids from liquid. Shipment of Centrifuge pump, jet mud mixer and mud guns
August 7th, 2013 , Brightway finished a shipment for a Singapore drilling platform with centrifugal pumps , brine pumps ,Jet mud mixers and mud guns.

1. Before operation, please ensure the rotating direction of the motor is correct. Turning the pump axis by hand, it needs to work normally and the opposite working direction forbidden.
2. Pouring the liquid full of the pump and inlet piping in order to discharge the air, it works normally.
3. When the pump work continuously, no need to clean the pump, but when it stopping work, must wash it by clean water in order to avoid the aging of the pump body and impeller because of the rust, which influence the future usage.
4. All the bearings of the pump are added with lubricating grease as our regulation before shipment. When the work temperature is below 120℃, no need to add the lubricating grease, but above 120℃, must add the lubricating grease regularly in order to guarantee the pump lifetime.
5. For the lubricating grease, must adopt the one compatible to the original bearing grease, otherwise, bad lubricating effect shortens the bearing lifetime.
6. In the condition of high work pressure and high temperature, suggest to check the lubricating grease in the centrifugal pumps every day, if necessary, add the lubricating oil to the bearings.

- Such compact HDD system, I can not see the walkways and guardrail.
- From the aspect of separating stages, it is without the desander stage.
In general, this Triflo system is the compact one and only the end user can tell the final treatment effect is good or not.
The above is only my thoughts from my understanding read from the picture.

We want to do the 2 in 1 mud system or 3 in 1 system including the 3 separation stages of shale shaker, desander and desilter and the mud mixing hopper, with the size as 5.5x2.3x1.8m, Volume about 10 m3, capacity about 250GPM.

- The mud from the drilling well goes into the poor boy degasser as showed in the blue arrow. Because of the gravity, the mud drops down at the inner structure of poor boy degasser.
- With the gas bubbles bursting out, the gas flows with the routine of the green arrow. If to burn the harmful gas, connect gas exist of poor boy digasser to flare ignition device by pipe in about 30 meters away from the poor boy degasser.
- The mud liquid flows out as the red arrow showed, and this mud liquid can go to the drilling fluids recycling equipment such as shale shaker, mud cleaner, centrifuge, etc for further separation.
- If to clean the mud deposit accumulated in the poor boy degasser, the bottom hole is to drain the mud solids out as specified in the brown arrow.
- The safety valve on the top is to release the gas in case the inner pressure is very big, and the pressure meter on the top is to read the inner pressure.

How hydracyclone works?
Hydrocyclones (also referred to as cyclones or cones) are simple mechanical devices, without moving parts, designed to speed up the settling process. Feed energy is transformed into centrifugal force inside the cyclone to accelerate particle settling in accordance with Stoke’s Law. In essence, a cyclone is a miniature settling pit which allows very rapid settling of solids under controlled conditions.
Hydrocyclones are important in solids control systems because of their ability to efficiently remove particles smaller than the finest mesh screens. They are also uncomplicated devices, which make them easy to use and maintain.
A hydrocyclone consists of a cylindrical/conical shell with a small opening at the bottom for underflow discharge, a larger opening at the top for liquid discharge through an internal “vortex finder”, and a feed nozzle on the side of the body near the cylindrical (top) end of the cone.
Drilling mud enters the cyclone using energy created by a centrifugal feed pump. The velocity of the mud causes the particles to rotate rapidly within the main chamber of the cyclone. Heavy, coarse solids and the liquid film around them tend to spiral outward and down-ward for discharge through the solids outlet. Light, fine solids and the liquid phase of the mud tend to spiral inward and upward for discharge through the liquid outlet.
Hydracyclone is used in our drilling fluids equipment such as desander, desilter, and mud cleaner. It is normally the 2nd or 3rd phase of the mud purifying system.

Why Galvanizing Treatment Much Better Than The Normal Painting Process?
What is the difference between the galvanizing treatment and the normal painting process?
There are mainly 3 points,and let's have a look one by one.
1. The anti-rust performance of galvanizing treatment is much better than the normal painting process.
In our daily life, normally the galvanizing treatment is applied for the outdoor tubes or the underground tunnels from the consideration of the anti-rust.
The below picture is one corner of the galvanizing factory, from which you can see there are mainly for outdoor or underground use.
We apply the galvanizing treatment on our equipment and system, and in a word, it is to improve the anti-rust performance.
